I did not watch the Tuesday evening address to congress by Donald Trump. Why? C'mon. You have to know why! I have a hard enough time writing about this grifter, liar, cheat, convicted felon, thief, gangster, thug, blah blah blah. I get all I need everyday from the fact checks that go on with him by people who watch him. What was immediately apparent, aside from the lies Trump spoke as he spoke, was the ridiculous and childish display from the democrats and in particular from Representative Al Green, D-Texas.
And to add insult to injury, 10 democrats voted to censure Green. What in the world are these people thinking? Are they as crazy as the two loons who heckled Biden? I think so, and they should be voted out of office!
Gutless grifters who only want that $174,000.00 per year plus benefits.
While Representative Al Greens disruption of Trumps speech was ill-advised, it did not rise to the level of immaturity of Marjorie Taylor Green and Lauren Boebert when they disrupted Joe Bidens State of The Union Address. Trumps address was a partisan rally for Republicans, Bidens speech was the State of The Union Speech. However, they were not censured. They acted like a couple of teenage spoiled brats.
And all this time the Democrats sat on their hands or waved cards while Trump laughed.
Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer think that by doing nothing, they will wait until Trump and his followers in congress will make mistakes and that will show they were right. When do they think they will make mistakes? Every day they do more damage to the day to day operations of our government and economy. They are moving so fast to undo our system that it will be very difficult to unravel the mess.
This is in your face of autocratic rule, where one man is dictating a course of action without any debate or due diligence. Their idea is to break it and then fix it. But what is the fix? That fact is hidden. And no one is questioning it. The Republican congress is tagging along with all of this and I am sure none of them know what the outcome will be. They are only mouthing the talking points that they are given. And most of them stumble with their answers when questioned by knowledgeable people.
Remember, Trump was not challenged in his primary and only did one debate. On his campaign trail speeches, he gave only abstract and grandiose ideas of what he was going to do and voters believed it.
What you saw during Trumps speech to congress was an example of how our government has devolved. Starting from the day that Congressman Joe Wilson shouted out to Obama “You Lie”, during his State of The Union speech, decorum in the Congress went out the window. Now what we have in congress are not professionals and statesmen, but a bunch of privileged brats.
We have what everyone asked for.
